Kurze Anleitung f\u00fcr den Cocktail \u201eHoppel Poppel\u201c:<\/h3>\n

Der Hoppel Poppel<\/strong> ist schnell gemacht und kommt ohne Schnickschnack aus:<\/p>\n

  1. 4-6 cl Doppelkorn (alternativ: Wodka oder Rum)<\/li>\n
  2. 1 Ei (frisch und ohne Schale!)<\/li>\n
  3. 1 TL Zucker (nach Belieben)<\/li>\n
  4. Eisw\u00fcrfel oder Crushed Ice (je nach Gusto)<\/li>\n
  5. Etwas Vanillezucker (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Alle Zutaten kr\u00e4ftig shaken und in ein Glas abseihen. Prost!<\/p>\n

    Detaillierte Tipps f\u00fcr einen erstklassigen Hoppel Poppel:<\/h3>\n

    1. Alkohol<\/strong>: Der klassische Hoppel Poppel wird mit Doppelkorn<\/strong> gemacht. Pers\u00f6nlich finde ich, dass Korn zu den eher untersch\u00e4tzten Spirituosen geh\u00f6rt. Wenn du eher ein Fan von Wodka oder Rum bist, kannst du diese problemlos tauschen \u2013 es sorgt f\u00fcr etwas mehr Charakter. Vorsicht mit stark aromatischen Rums, die verdr\u00e4ngen sonst die feinen Ei-Aromen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Das Ei<\/strong>: Ganz wichtig: Verwende frische Eier<\/strong>! Manche Leute haben ein leichtes mulmiges Gef\u00fchl, wenn es um rohe Eier geht, also achte auf Qualit\u00e4t und Frische. Es gibt auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, pasteurisierte Eier zu verwenden, wenn du ganz sichergehen willst. Das Ei macht den Drink wunderbar schaumig und angenehm cremig \u2013 sozusagen die Basis des Cocktails.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Zucker<\/strong>: Hier gilt: Geschmackskontrolle ist K\u00f6nig! Die S\u00fc\u00dfe l\u00e4sst sich durch den Zucker und ggf. Vanillezucker fein justieren. Ich empfehle, es nicht zu \u00fcbertreiben, sonst kippst du schnell in die Nachspeise, und das Ei macht ihn schon recht „reichhaltig“.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Shaken<\/strong>: F\u00fcr die beste Schaumbildung solltest du das Ei vorher separat etwas „aufschlagen“, bevor es in den Shaker geht. Wenn du dann alles kr\u00e4ftig shaken willst, am besten mindestens 20-30 Sekunden mit vollem K\u00f6rpereinsatz (wie Rocky beim Eiwei\u00dftraining). Hier gilt: Je mehr Luft du ins Ei bringst, desto fluffiger wird der Drink.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Eis<\/strong>: Ich pers\u00f6nlich bevorzuge Crushed Ice<\/strong> f\u00fcr den Hoppel Poppel. Das macht den Drink leichter und gibt ihm eine k\u00fchlende, erfrischende Note. Wenn du Eisw\u00fcrfel nimmst, ist das auch v\u00f6llig okay, sorgt aber f\u00fcr einen etwas \u201ek\u00e4lteren\u201c Mundfeel, ohne dass der Drink so an Volumen gewinnt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Nachw\u00fcrzen<\/strong>: Falls du experimentierfreudig bist, kannst du auch eine Prise Zimt oder Muskat dr\u00fcberstreuen. Das verpasst dem klassischen Hoppel Poppel eine besondere Note und w\u00e4rmt \u2013 nicht nur an kalten Tagen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Die Geschichte des Hoppel Poppel:<\/h3>\n

      Die Herkunft des Hoppel Poppel ist mindestens ebenso lecker wie der Drink selbst. Der Cocktail gilt als eine deutsche Kreation, urspr\u00fcnglich wahrscheinlich aus Berlin, und geh\u00f6rt zur Kategorie der sogenannten „Restedrinks“ \u2013 quasi das, was \u00fcbrig war, wird verwertet. Tats\u00e4chlich war der urspr\u00fcngliche Hoppel Poppel ein Resteessen<\/strong>, bei dem Bratkartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Reste von Fleisch in der Pfanne mit Ei \u00fcbergossen wurden. Klingt wie ein deftiges Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck nach einer durchzechten Nacht, oder?<\/p>\n

      Irgendwann kam man in Berlin wohl auf die Idee, diese Idee auf den Cocktailbereich anzuwenden \u2013 nat\u00fcrlich ohne Bratkartoffeln und Fleisch. Aber das Ei ging quasi als ideelle Verbindung in die fl\u00fcssige Form \u00fcber. Der Name \u201eHoppel Poppel\u201c klingt so sch\u00f6n altmodisch und irgendwie rustikal, dass es durchaus denkbar ist, dass auch der Drink seinen Ursprung in der Nachkriegsgeschichte hat \u2013 wo man aus einfachen Zutaten oft etwas Gro\u00dfes basteln musste.<\/p>\n

      Ganz \u00e4hnlich funktioniert \u00fcbrigens der \u201eEierflip<\/strong>\u201c, der ebenfalls zu den klassischen Cocktails geh\u00f6rt und \u00e4hnliche Zutaten wie Ei und Alkohol verwendet, aber h\u00e4ufig mit einem Schuss Sahne angereichert wird.<\/p>\n
