Ja, das klingt ein bisschen dramatisch, aber so sind gute Cocktails halt.<\/p>\n<p>Dann gibt es aber auch <strong>Don the Beachcomber<\/strong>, eine andere Ikone der Tiki-Szene, der behauptet, der Mai Tai stamme von ihm und schon in den 1930er Jahren in Hollywood gemixt wurde. Wer nun wirklich recht hatte \u2013 dar\u00fcber streiten sich seit Jahrzehnten Cocktailhistoriker. Es gibt sogar m\u00f6glicherweise <em>Verbindungen zwischen den beiden, aber das ist dann schon fast so wie die Verschw\u00f6rungstheorien im Tech-Bereich.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Der Mai Tai ist Teil der sogenannten <strong>Tiki-Cocktail-Kultur<\/strong>, die in den 1930er Jahren aufkam und in den 1950ern und 1960ern ihren H\u00f6hepunkt erlebte. Andere ber\u00fchmte Tiki-Getr\u00e4nke sind der <strong>Zombie<\/strong>, der \u00e4hnlich stark ist wie der Mai Tai, sowie der <strong>Navy Grog<\/strong> und der farbenfrohe <strong>Blue Hawaiian<\/strong>.
