Wenn wir uns mit der Herkunft dieses oft \u00fcbersehenen Cocktails besch\u00e4ftigen, landen wir zwangsl\u00e4ufig im tropischen Flair der Tiki-Kultur \u2013 eine amerikanische Erfindung der 1940er und 1950er, die zwar exotische Urlaubstr\u00e4ume bediente, aber an sich eher eine fantasievoll-kreative Aneignung polynesischer und karibischer Elemente war. Der Q.B. Cooler wurde angeblich von Donn Beach (der heutzutage unter seinem K\u00fcnstlernamen Don the Beachcomber bekannt ist) kreiert \u2013 einem der Wegbereiter der ganzen Tiki-Bewegung. Donn Beach war ziemlich clever \u2013 er hat mit Rezepten herumexperimentiert, um Kund:innen das Gef\u00fchl zu geben, sie w\u00e4ren irgendwo in der S\u00fcdsee, anstatt in einer Bar in Los Angeles. Fun Fact: Der Q.B. Cooler wurde als Gegenpol zum ber\u00fchmteren Mai Tai ins Leben gerufen und die Leute pr\u00fcgelten sich fast darum, welcher Drink nun den \u201ewahren Inselgeschmack\u201c hatte.<\/p>\n
