Eiwei\u00df steif schlagen und unterheben. Die Mischung in eine Tasse geben, den Rum und den Brandy dazu und dann mit hei\u00dfer Milch oder Wasser auff\u00fcllen. Aber der Rum verleiht dem Cocktail noch diesen Hauch von karamelliger S\u00fc\u00dfe und Tiefe. Ideal ist 1:1, aber du kannst je nach Geschmack den einen oder anderen st\u00e4rker dosieren.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Muskatnuss \u2013 die Kirsche auf dem Sahneh\u00e4ubchen:<\/strong><br \/>\nBitte, wirklich <em>frisch geriebene<\/em> Muskatnuss verwenden. Nichts zerst\u00f6rt die Stimmung so schnell wie ein Cocktail, der in einem eiskalten Gef\u00e4\u00df stockt und abk\u00fchlt, bevor du auch nur den ersten Schluck nehmen konntest.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Die Geschichte hinter der Legende<\/strong> \ud83d\udd70\ufe0f<\/h3>\n<p>Also, woher kommt dieser warme Weihnachtsklassiker eigentlich? Der <em>Tom and Jerry<\/em> ist ein echauffierter Cousin des Eierpunsch und fing ungef\u00e4hr in den 1820er Jahren an, Relevanz zu gewinnen \u2013 und das ist der Clou: Er hat gar nichts mit der ber\u00fchmten Cartoon-Katze und Maus zu tun! Sein Erfinder war angeblich ein britischer Journalist und Schriftsteller namens <strong>Pierce Egan<\/strong>, der damals ein Buch mit dem Titel <em>&#8222;Life in London&#8220;<\/em> schrieb.<\/p>\n<p>Um das Buch angemessen zu bewerben, kreierte er diesen Cocktail und benannte ihn nach zwei Figuren aus seinem Werk \u2013 Tom und Jerry (\u00fcbrigens weit vor den ber\u00fchmten Zeichentrickfiguren, von denen du gerade denkst). Der Drink wurde in den USA zu einem popul\u00e4ren Winter- und Weihnachtscocktail, besonders im 19. und fr\u00fchen 20. Jahrhundert.<\/p>\n<p>Man sagt, der <em>Tom and Jerry<\/em> sei so etwas wie die Antwort auf Eggnog, nur mit einem etwas schwereren, alkoholischen \u201eKick\u201c. Wo Eggnog cremiger und milder ist, hat der <em>Tom and Jerry<\/em> durch den Rum-Brandy-Mix und die fast schon karamellige Note eine sch\u00e4rfere, w\u00fcrzigere Pr\u00e4senz.
