Der Bull Shot tauchte erstmals in den 1950er Jahren in Detroit auf. Interessanterweise (oder auch folgerichtig) stammt er aus der \u201eOld Fashioned\u201c \u00c4ra, die schon immer gerne Experimente mit ungew\u00f6hnlichen Cocktailzutaten unternahm. Urspr\u00fcnglich wurde er in der legend\u00e4ren Pontchartrain Wine Cellars Bar am Detroit River gemixt, und das Konzept eines herzhaften Cocktails auf Basis von Fleischbr\u00fche passte perfekt in die Nachkriegsepoche, als der Fleischkonsum ein Zeichen von Wohlstand war.<\/p>\n

Man k\u00f6nnte sagen, der Bull Shot<\/em> ist die weniger freundliche, weniger auf die Gem\u00fcsesektion versessene Cousine der Bloody Mary. Die Verwandtschaft ist da: Tomatensaft wurde gegen Rinderbr\u00fche ausgetauscht, und dann wurden der Vodka, Worcestershiresauce und Zitronensaft beibehalten.
