Eine <strong>Luxardo-Kirsche<\/strong> oder eine <strong>Amarena-Kirsche<\/strong> mit viel Fruchtaroma ist wirklich die beste Wahl.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Die Geschichte des Rob Roy und verwandte Cocktails:<\/h3>\n<p>Der Rob Roy ist im Grunde der schottische Cousin des <strong>Manhattan<\/strong>. Statt amerikanischem Rye oder Bourbon wird hier eben Scotch verwendet. Der Cocktail wurde erstmals 1894 im <strong>Waldorf Astoria Hotel<\/strong> in New York City gemixt, benannt nach dem legend\u00e4ren schottischen Volkshelden <strong>Rob Roy MacGregor<\/strong>, der auf Grund seiner rebellischen Aktionen im 18. Jahrhundert in die Geschichte einging \u2013 sozusagen ein schottischer Robin Hood\u2026 nur vermutlich mit mehr Whisky.<\/p>\n<p>Die Verbindung zum Manhattan ist ziemlich klar: Ein Mix aus Whisky, rotem Wermut und Bitters. Der Manhattan selbst hatte seinen Ursprung schon fr\u00fcher, aber die Kombination mit Scotch verleiht dem Ganzen eine robustere, rauchigere Note. Deshalb: Wenn du den Manhattan magst, ist der Rob Roy der ideale Drink f\u00fcr einen \u201edunkel bew\u00f6lkten Nachmittag\u201c, wie man so sch\u00f6n sagt.<\/p>\n<p>Aber wie alles in der Cocktailszene gibt es auch hier Variationen:<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>Dry Rob Roy<\/strong>: Verwendet trockenen wei\u00dfen Wermut statt des s\u00fc\u00dfen roten Wermuts.
