Fertig.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Detaillierte Tipps f\u00fcr den perfekten Toronto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Der \u201eToronto\u201c ist einer dieser Cocktails, bei denen man zun\u00e4chst denkt: \u201eWow, Fernet Branca und Whisky? Kann das \u00fcberhaupt harmonieren?\u201c\u2014Nun, ja, es kann. Und wie! Aber es ist eher f\u00fcr Geister, die intensivere, komplexe Aromen m\u00f6gen. Ein kanadischer Rye (z. B. Lot No. 40 oder Alberta Premium) bringt normalerweise weniger S\u00fc\u00dfe als ein amerikanischer. Wenn du einen amerikanischen Rye wie Rittenhouse oder Bulleit nimmst, wird der Toronto etwas kantiger und \u201epfeffriger\u201c sein. Wenn dir das scharf gew\u00fcrzte Aroma zu stark ist, kannst du auch zu einem Bourbon greifen, aber das w\u00e4re dann ein Bruch mit der Tradition. Gib dem Toronto zwei, drei Minuten nach dem Abseihen, damit die Aromen sich setzen k\u00f6nnen. Es ist fast wie Software, die beim ersten Mal Debugging Zeit braucht, bis sie reibungslos l\u00e4uft.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Zuckersirup: Das charmante Gleichgewicht.<\/strong><br \/>\nDer Zuckersirup ist kein blo\u00dfes &#8222;Beiwerk&#8220; hier \u2013 er ist entscheidend, um Fernet und Whisky zu z\u00e4hmen und dem ganzen Drink diese heimlich s\u00fc\u00dfe Note zu geben. Ich arbeite gerne mit einem 1:1 Zuckersirup (ein Teil Zucker, ein Teil Wasser), um eine gute Balance zu finden. Je nachdem, wie s\u00fc\u00df du es magst, kannst du auch einen reichhaltigeren Sirup (2:1) verwenden, aber Obacht, es k\u00f6nnte schnell zu s\u00fc\u00df werden.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Das Geheimnis der Orangenzeste.<\/strong><br \/>\nViele \u00fcberspringen das Garnieren, aber die Orangenzeste ist der geheime Star dieses Cocktails. Sie bringt eine frische Zitrusaromatik ins Spiel, die als leiser Kontrast zur intensiven Bitterkeit von Fernet und dem w\u00fcrzigen Charakter des Rye Whiskys dient. Eine sch\u00f6n abgeschnittene, leicht an den R\u00e4ndern anger\u00f6stete Orangenzeste hebt den Drink wirklich hervor, sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Geschichte und Verwandte Cocktails<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Der Toronto Cocktail hat seine Urspr\u00fcnge (so vermutet man) in den 1920er bis 1930er Jahren\u2014einer Zeit, in der die Prohibition in den USA Whisky-Liebhaber in den Norden lockte. Der Name gibt es bereits her, dass Kanada, insbesondere Toronto, ein Zufluchtsort f\u00fcr viele war. Whiskyschmuggel \u00fcber die Grenze war seiner Zeit so \u00e4hnlich wie &#8222;schlauer Code&#8220;, der die Firewall umgeht. Eigentlich spricht der Drink eine Sprachmischung aus kanadischem Rye und italienischem Fernet\u2014zwei Dinge, von denen man nicht erwarten w\u00fcrde, dass sie so gut harmonieren.<\/p>\n<p>Der Toronto ist \u00fcbrigens ein entfernter Verwandter des klassischen <strong>Old-Fashioneds<\/strong> und teilt die Bitters\u00fc\u00dfe von Drinks wie dem <strong>Manhattan<\/strong> oder auch dem Fernet-lastigeren <strong>Hanky Panky<\/strong>. Du siehst also\u2014der Toronto steht in sehr ehrenwerter Gesellschaft von Cocktails, die auf den simplen Prinzipien von Whisky, Bitters und einem Hauch von S\u00fc\u00dfe beruhen, aber ihm eine zus\u00e4tzliche herb-w\u00fcrzige Note geben.<\/p>\n<p>Falls du dich durch verwandte Cocktails schlendern m\u00f6chtest, sieh dir auch die Varianten mit Vermouth oder Amaro statt Fernet an.
