\nAlles zusammen mit Eis kr\u00e4ftig im Shaker sch\u00fctteln. Anschlie\u00dfend in ein gek\u00fchltes Cocktailglas abseihen und mit geriebener Muskatnuss bestreuen. Voil\u00e0!<\/p>\n

Detailierte Tipps:<\/h3>\n

1. Brandy-Auswahl:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Brandy ist zugegeben ein dehnbarer Begriff \u2013 das kann alles von einem franz\u00f6sischen Cognac \u00fcber einen spanischen Brandy de Jerez sein. Du musst nat\u00fcrlich kein s\u00fcndhaft teures Destillat verwenden, aber ein ordentlicher Cognac hebt das Geschmacksprofil merklich an (den billigen Fusel besser f\u00fcr die Sangria lassen).<\/p>\n

2. Cr\u00e8me de Cacao:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hier solltest du darauf achten, dass du die braune<\/em> und nicht die wei\u00dfe<\/em> Cr\u00e8me de Cacao nimmst. Die braune Version hat eine echte Tiefe in ihrem Schokoladenaroma, die perfekt mit dem Brandy zusammenarbeitet. Die wei\u00dfe hat ihren Platz, aber nicht in einem Brandy Alexander<\/em> \u2013 das w\u00e4re, als w\u00fcrdest du Espresso mit Magermilch machen. Geht schon, aber\u2026 warum?<\/p>\n

3. Sahne:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Sahne ist nicht gleich Sahne. Vermeide Schlagsahne aus der Spr\u00fchdose (ja, ich sehe dich an, du \u201eShortcut-K\u00fcnstler\u201c!). Nimm lieber frische, leicht auf Raumtemperatur gebrachte Sahne. Wenn du sie zu kalt nimmst, kann sie zu dick sein und den Drink schwerf\u00e4lliger machen \u2013 wir wollen schlie\u00dflich einen samtigen Cocktail, keinen Eisbecher.<\/p>\n

4. Eis \u2013 weniger ist mehr:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Pack\u2019 nicht zu viel Eis in den Shaker! Gerade genug, damit der Drink gut heruntergek\u00fchlt wird, aber nicht so viel, dass er w\u00e4ssrig wird. Wir sch\u00fctteln nur, bis die Au\u00dfenseiten des Shakers angenehm frostig werden.<\/p>\n

5. Muskatnuss \u2013 die Kr\u00f6nung:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Frisch geriebene Muskatnuss ist der Zugabe-Effekt in diesem Drink. Kauf eine ganze Nuss (die h\u00e4lt praktisch ewig) und reibe sie frisch dar\u00fcber. Wenn du Zimt oder Schokoladenst\u00fccke als Alternative anbietest, k\u00f6nnte ich das notfalls verzeihen… aber die Muskatnuss wird dem Brandy Alexander den finalen Wow<\/em>-Effekt verleihen.<\/p>\n

Die Geschichte hinter dem Brandy Alexander:<\/h3>\n

Die Entstehung des Brandy Alexander<\/em> ist eine interessante Geschichte in der Cocktailhistorie \u2013 und ja, es gibt eigentlich einen direkten Vorfahren, den Alexander<\/em> (ohne \u201eBrandy\u201c). Der original Alexander<\/em> wurde mit Gin, Cr\u00e8me de Cacao und Sahne gemixt. Aber irgendwann um die 1920er Jahre herum kam jemand auf die clevere Idee, den Gin gegen Brandy zu tauschen, und siehe da \u2013 der Brandy Alexander<\/em> war geboren.<\/p>\n

Ein popul\u00e4rer Mythos besagt, dass der Drink erstmals bei der Hochzeit von Mary, der Schwester von Winston Churchill, serviert wurde \u2013 aber historisch gesichert ist das nicht wirklich. Charmant, aber wahrscheinlich eher Barkeeper-Legende. Was wir ziemlich sicher wissen: Der Cocktail gewann vor allem in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren an Popularit\u00e4t, einer Zeit, als dekadente, cremige Drinks schwer en vogue waren.<\/p>\n

Es ist auch nicht zu leugnen, dass der Brandy Alexander<\/em> durch seine Pr\u00e4senz in der Popkultur Bekanntheit erlangte. John Lennon war wohl ein Fan \u2013 es gibt Stories, wie er in den 1970er Jahren ab und zu mit einem leckeren Brandy Alexander<\/em>-Rausch in den fr\u00fchen Morgenstunden auftauchte (sofern man den Quellen Glauben schenkt).<\/p>\n

Als Verwandter des Brandy Alexander<\/em> k\u00f6nnte man den Grasshopper<\/em> nennen \u2013 eine Version mit Minzlik\u00f6r statt Brandy. Aber auch Cocktails wie der Golden Cadillac<\/em> (Cr\u00e8me de Cacao, Galliano, Sahne) geh\u00f6ren in die gleiche cremig-s\u00fc\u00dfe Familie.<\/p>\n
