    Zubereitung:<\/strong>
    \nAlle Zutaten in einen Shaker mit Eisw\u00fcrfeln geben, kr\u00e4ftig sch\u00fctteln und durch ein feines Sieb in ein gek\u00fchltes Cocktailglas abseihen. Optional mit einer Orangenzeste garnieren.<\/p>\n

    Detailierte Tipps f\u00fcr den perfekten Bronx-Cocktail<\/h3>\n

    Gin<\/strong>:
    \nHier liegt oft der Hund begraben. Der Gin ist das Herz des Cocktails, und die Wahl des richtigen Gins ist entscheidend. Ein klassischer London Dry Gin funktioniert gut, weil er eine solide Wacholderbasis bietet, die wunderbar mit den fruchtigen und bitters\u00fc\u00dfen Noten der anderen Zutaten harmoniert. Aber wenn du experimentierfreudig bist, kannst du auch mit Gins variieren, die etwas floraler oder zitruslastig sind. Beachte: Ein stark w\u00fcrziger Gin, wie beispielsweise ein Navy Strength, k\u00f6nnte leicht alles \u00fcberdecken, also vorsichtig mit apokalyptischem Gin-Overkill!<\/p>\n

    Wermut<\/strong>:
    \nEs gibt viele Menschen (vor allem in meiner Disziplin, der Wirtschaftsinformatik), die dazu neigen, Wermut als einen notwendigen, aber unspektakul\u00e4ren Bestandteil von Cocktails zu betrachten. Aber Wermut lebt! Sweet Vermouth spielt hier die s\u00fc\u00dferen, fast karamellartigen Noten an, w\u00e4hrend der Dry Vermouth das Gleichgewicht zur\u00fcckbringt und daf\u00fcr sorgt, dass der Cocktail nicht ins Eindimensionale abrutscht. Verwende hochwertigen Wermut und bewahre ihn gek\u00fchlt auf \u2013 er hat n\u00e4mlich die nervige Angewohnheit, ziemlich schnell an Geschmack zu verlieren, wenn er einmal ge\u00f6ffnet ist.<\/p>\n

    Orangensaft<\/strong>:
    \nFrisch gepresst \u2013 bitte, keine halben Sachen hier. Wir haben es hier nicht mit irgendeinem Fruchsaftgetr\u00e4nk zu tun, sondern mit etwas, das klare, angenehme S\u00e4uren mit der S\u00fc\u00dfe der Orange verbinden soll. Fertigsaft ist oft zu s\u00fc\u00df und muffig. Ein kleiner pers\u00f6nlicher Pro-Tipp: Ein Trio aus Orange, etwas Zitrone und vielleicht sogar einem Spritzer Grapefruitsaft kann bei Experimentierfreudigen f\u00fcr eine interessante Komplexit\u00e4t sorgen.<\/p>\n

    Sch\u00fctteln oder R\u00fchren?<\/strong>
    \nDa wir frischen Orangensaft verwenden, ist Sch\u00fctteln hier die bevorzugte Methode, um den Saft gut zu integrieren. Das hei\u00dft, wenn du den Bronx einmal ordentlich durchgesch\u00fcttelt hast, sollte er eine elegante, leicht schaumige Textur erhalten. Achte darauf, den Cocktail streng durch ein Fein- oder Barsieb abzugie\u00dfen, um die kleinen Eisst\u00fcckchen loszuwerden.<\/p>\n

    Herkunft des Bronx-Cocktails und verwandte Cocktails<\/h3>\n

    So, nun zum Nerdteil, den wir uns als intellektuelle Dosis g\u00f6nnen. Der Bronx ist ein wahrer Klassiker unter den Cocktails, und wie bei vielen Cocktails aus dieser \u00c4ra gibt es einige Diskussionen dar\u00fcber, wer ihn eigentlich erfunden hat. Die am h\u00e4ufigsten akzeptierte Erz\u00e4hlung weist auf Johnnie Solon hin, einen Barkeeper der ber\u00fchmten Waldorf-Astoria-Bar in New York um das Jahr 1900 herum. Die Legende besagt, dass er den Cocktail f\u00fcr einen Gast kreierte, der direkt aus dem New Yorker Zoo im Bronx-District kam \u2013 daher auch der Name.<\/p>\n

    Was mich irgendwie fasziniert, ist die m\u00f6glicherweise versteckte Hommage an den \u201ePerfect Martini\u201c. Der \u201ePerfect Martini\u201c verwendet sowohl s\u00fc\u00dfen als auch trockenen Wermut und bildet somit gewisserma\u00dfen das Stilvorbild f\u00fcr den Bronx. Aber durch die Zugabe von Orangensaft wurde dann etwas v\u00f6llig Neues und Unverwechselbares erschaffen. K\u00f6nnte man als produktive Mischung sehen! Die beiden Cocktails sind sich also verwandtschaftlich nah, doch der Bronx ist wesentlicher fruchtiger und leichter zug\u00e4nglich als sein martini-basierter Verwandter.<\/p>\n

    Verwandte Cocktails w\u00e4ren also der \u201eMartini\u201c, speziell in der \u201ePerfect\u201c-Variante, oder auch der \u201eIncome Tax\u201c-Cocktail, der wiederum auf dem Bronx basiert, aber zus\u00e4tzlich mit einem Schuss Angostura Bitters versehen wird. Lustigerweise klingt \u201eIncome Tax\u201c viel weniger spa\u00dfig \u2013 ein toller Trick, um den Cocktail f\u00fcr Steuerberater spannender zu machen?<\/p>\n
