Wie bei den meisten Cocktails macht es nicht nur die exakte Menge aus, sondern auch die Qualit\u00e4t der Zutaten und die Reihenfolge der Schritte.<\/p>\n<h4>1. <strong>Der Rum: Dunkel und schwer<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Um ehrlich zu sein, bei diesem Cocktail dreht sich alles um <strong>Gosling\u2019s Black Seal Rum<\/strong>. Niemand hindert dich daran, einen anderen dunklen Rum zu probieren, aber wenn du authentisch bleiben willst, greif zu Gosling\u2019s! Wenn du gerne experimentierst, eine Empfehlung von mir: Rum aus der Karibik, vorzugsweise Barbados oder Jamaika, verleiht dem Ganzen eine etwas unterschiedliche Note \u2013 schwerer, fruchtiger, vielleicht sogar rauchiger.<\/p>\n<h4>2. <strong>Das richtige Ginger Beer<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Auch wenn es reizvoll erscheint, die erste Flasche Ginger Ale aus dem K\u00fchlschrank zu schnappen, bleib standhaft. <strong>Ginger Beer<\/strong> bringt die intensive Sch\u00e4rfe des Ingwers ins Spiel, und das ist entscheidend. Ginger Ale w\u00e4re zu s\u00fc\u00df und zu mild, und du w\u00fcrdest das \u201eSturm\u201c-Element im Sturm verlieren. Es muss also mindestens ordentliches Ginger Beer sein, am besten eins, das du gerne auch pur trinken w\u00fcrdest. Hier k\u00f6nntest du testen, welche Marke dir am meisten zusagt, von klassischen wie Fentimans bis zu intensiverem Craft Ginger Beer.<\/p>\n<h4>3. <strong>Die Schichtung: Mehr als nur Optik<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Oft wird der Dark &#8217;n&#8216; Stormy als \u201eSchichtcocktail\u201c serviert, bei dem der Rum langsam ins Ginger Beer abtaucht. Klar \u2013 das Auge trinkt mit, und der Effekt von \u201eDunkelheit trifft auf Sturm\u201c ist sch\u00f6n, aber es gibt auch eine funktionale Komponente: Wenn du den Drink nicht sofort umr\u00fchrst, ver\u00e4ndert sich der Geschmack beim Trinken. Der erste Schluck ist eher die leichte Gingersch\u00e4rfe, um dann immer mehr in die Tiefen des intensiven Rums zu tauchen.<\/p>\n<h4>4. <strong>Limette ja \u2013 aber wie viel?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Puristen sind sich nicht immer einig, ob der Limettensaft <em>im<\/em> Drink oder nur als <em>Garnitur<\/em> gedacht ist. Ich pers\u00f6nlich mag ein paar Spritzer Limettensaft direkt im Cocktail \u2013 es bringt Frische und schneidet durch die Schwere des Rums. Aber wenn du eher den originalen, intensiveren Dark &#8217;n&#8216; Stormy willst, reicht die Limettenspalte als Deko und f\u00fcr gelegentliches Austropfen.<\/p>\n<h4>5. <strong>Geeignetes Glas<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Ein klassischer Highball oder Collins-Glas passt wunderbar. Es bietet genug Platz f\u00fcr die Eisschichten, die beide Zutaten sch\u00f6n aufeinander stapeln und den Drink k\u00fchl halten. Das ergibt ein launiges Bild, oder?<\/p>\n<p>Und falls man denkt, dass dieser Cocktail nicht \u201egesch\u00fctzt\u201c ist, falsch gedacht: <strong>Gosling\u2019s hat den Namen Dark &#8217;n&#8216; Stormy als eine gesch\u00fctzte Marke<\/strong> eingetragen. Du darfst also theoretisch den Namen &#8222;Dark &#8217;n&#8216; Stormy&#8220; nicht verwenden, wenn du einen anderen Rum als Gosling\u2019s hineingibst. Ein sch\u00f6nes Beispiel f\u00fcr markenrechtliche Ergonomie, nicht wahr?<\/p>\n<h4>Verwandte Cocktails<\/h4>\n<p>Der Dark &#8217;n&#8216; Stormy liegt in derselben nautisch gepr\u00e4gten Tradition wie der <strong>Moscow Mule<\/strong>, wobei hier Rum statt Wodka die Hauptrolle spielt. Auch der <strong>Ti&#8216; Punch<\/strong> k\u00f6nnte als entfernte Verwandtschaft gelten \u2013 dieser verwendet Rum und Limetten, aber ohne die Sch\u00e4rfe des Ginger Beers.
